Happy Spring!!!

We hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather, birds singing and flowers beginning to bloom!

This month we have had a successful curry night and another (already sold out) coming up. Thank you to everyone who has made it out to our theme dinners. Our next one is going to  be Moroccan evening on Friday April 13th. The menu will be in April’s blog.

We have some new art in the cafe, Sidney Smith of Wellington has her beautiful bird collection on the walls to create a spring atmosphere in the cafe. Come in a check them out!

Enid is keeping the pastry case full of  in house bake goods and breads! We would also like to announce that her products will be for sale at the Copper Kettle Company in Piction (starting Maple in the County weekend). It is very exciting to create this partnership and have Enid’s Tall Poppy bake goods and breads available in other county locations!

We will have music in the cafe on Sunday March 25th, the Breaks! Come in and check them out!

For Easter weekend we will be open our regular hours 7am-3 pm every day!

Indian Curry night! 5:30-9pm, Call for reservations!!!

Since our last curry night was so popular we are having another! Spots are filling up, there are some available from 7:30 onwards!


Indian Curry Night menu

Here is a sample of what to expect:



Lamb or Shrimp Rogan Josh – Lamb cooked in  Indian spices and herbs

Butter curry chicken – chicken cooked in tomato, butter and cream gravy

Pork Vindaloo – Pork cooked in a special vindaloo gravy with chunky pieces of potato

Pulao rice – basmati rice cooked in Indian spices

Fresh Naan

Chana Masla – chickpeas cooked with authentic Indian spices

Bengan Bhartha – eggplant, mashed and cooked with spices

Saag Panner – home made cheese cooked with spinach

Aloo Gobi – Cauliflower and potato cooked in Indian spices
