Homemade savoury shepherd’s pie with carrots and corn, topped with cheesy mash, served with salad

Hummos, warm pita and olives

Falafel wrap with lemony tahini sauce

Oh, the things in our comment box.  Apparently the September 2nd menu posting helped a blog visitor: “I would like to thank you for the efforts you have made in writing this post. This has been an inspiration for me. I’ve passed this on to a friend of mine.” Glad to be of assistance, random spammer who links to a pharmaceutical company. Woke up this morning to two new comments under yesterday’s menu posting. Most days we just get spam from people wanting us to link to their hit-generating website, or the one that sells special pharmaceuticals at a mere fraction of the cost of a (legitimate) drug store. It can be a bit disheartening, because I can see the daily stats and I know real people are reading too (and not just my mom). So to Diane and Laura – thank you for taking the time to comment!
