Greer Road Anthology:

New works from Conrad Beaubien

On panels salvaged from the remodelling of the milking room on the Simpson dairy farm on Greer Road.

I am attracted to the randomness of found materials and use them in my paintings and three dimensional works. Objects with a past hold a sense of collective memory. I engage them as part of the process for I feel they serve as metaphor for the imperfectness, the impermanence of all things. I strive to recognize and embrace the inherent aesthetic of the materials and join them with an idea that I am chasing. The alchemy of the encounter – the process – is the effect that nurtures humility and childlike wonder.

Happy Spring!!!

February blog!

Published by

So an early spring is what’s in store for us this year….well I guess we need the moisture and a lot of it to help the crops this summer, so we are not in the same pickle as last year. I guess old man winter has a lot of business to attend to if it’s going to be an early spring.

Valentine’s day is fast approaching, the cafe is a great place to start your day off or drop in for a mid day lunch with your loved one. And of course there are tasty treats to take home if that is more your style.

We are gearing up for a great family day, bring the gang and come out for breakfast, lunch or a snack while having a fun family day!

Stay warm, dry and enjoy the snow!
