Happy new year!

There are some exciting things happening in the cafe this month! First, we are open everyday throughout the winter! So come in for a hot lunch, breakfast, coffee, tea or a tasty treat! Second, we have a new art display. Patricia Sztuke has warmed our walls with her beautiful quilts. Third, we are starting to make our own bread! We are excited about this, some will be for sale and some will be featured in the menu items. Fourth, we’re having a Tapas night on January 27th! It’s family style, so get a group together and have an evening of Spanish cuisine, and local wine and beer.

Eggplant and boccocini “ravioli” with shiitake ragout,and balsamic redux, roasted pine nuts

White bean hummous with paprika oil, housemade grilled flatbread and mixed olives

Lemon and herb olive oil fried potatoes and roast garlic aioli

Grilled garlicky zuchinni, lemon zest and olive oil drizzle

Artichoke almond pesto with house bread and mixed olives

House smoked salted almonds

Meat and Seafood

Lamb sausage with red onion tart, fig vinaigrette

Lemon grilled shrimp with ginger spinach cream, oven roast tomato and saute zuchinni

Andalusian calamari- battered and fried  with Balinese vinaigrette

House smoked adobado pulled pork with caramelized pineapple and peppery greens

Seared scallops with orange fennel micro salad, mulled wine reduction

Zucchini goat cheese fritters with house cured salmon and gazpacho sauce

Buttery green peas with pancetta, roast onion and white wine
